Patrick "Paddy" Sweeney

SWEENEY Patrick "Paddy", of Palisades Park, NJ, entered into eternal rest on July 30, 2011 at the age of 79. Devoted husband of the late Josephine who died in 1993. Beloved father of Patrick Sweeney Jr. of Ramsey and his wife Kelly, and Michael Sweeney of Montvale and his wife Martha. Loving brother of Eileen Toland of England and Michael Sweeney of Ireland. Cherished grandfather of Maureen, Aidan and Michael. Born in County Mayo, Ireland, Patrick came to the United States in 1957. He was a member of the Bergen Irish Association, and was a parishioner and usher of St. Matthew's RC Church, Ridgefield. He was a bartender at Blarney Station, East Rutherford. Visiting at Blackley Funeral Home, 809 Broad Ave., Ridgefield (201) 945-5032 on Tuesday and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home on Thursday at 9:15 AM to attend the Funeral Mass on Thursday at 10:15 AM at St. Matthew's RC Church, Ridgefield.
