He retired in 2002 from Local 825 Operating Engineers following in the trade of his father and his brother Frank who have predeceased him. He enjoyed boating and camping and the outdoors, and was an avid motorcycle rider the better part of his life and a longstanding member of the AMA. He was very outgoing and friendly and spoke to everyone. He was compassionate and understanding, and had a deep love of animals. He will truly be missed by all who knew him.
