GIANNANTONIO Emil V., of Palisades Park, NJ, entered into eternal rest on January 21, 2011 at the age of 80. Emil lived there all his life and was an US Army veteran who fought in the Korean War, for which he received a Bronze Star. He graduated from Leonia High School and was on the Track Team. He was a Postal Clerk for the Palisades Park Post Office for 43 years. Beloved husband of Josephine (nee Stivalo). Devoted father of Jean Csigi and her husband Tom, Elaine Matarazzo and her husband Michael, Linda Bateman and her husband Jay, Emil J. Giannantonio, Joanne Hofmann and her husband Mark, and predeceased son, Joseph. Loving brother of Christine, Peter, Albert, Edward Gene, Nicholas, the late Phyllis, Frank and Anthony. Also survived by seven grandchildren: Thomas, Marissa, Kristy, Robert, Bryan, Amy and Kenneth. Visiting at Blackley Funeral Home, 809 Broad Ave., Ridgefield, NJ 201-945-5032 on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home on Tuesday at 9 AM to attend the funeral mass at St. Michael's RC Church, Palisades Park on Tuesday at 10 AM.
