Vincent Razza Obituary

RAZZA Vincent M., 92, died Sunday, December 19, 2010 at the Hunterdon Care Center in Flemington, NJ. Born in Palisades Park, NJ, he resided there for his entire life and was proud to be a memory-keeper of the early years of the town's history. Before retiring in 1978, Vincent was the Food Service Director for the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company in New York City and its several satellite headquarters throughout the United States. He took pride in his accomplishments and was interviewed by the New York Times in 1978 about his food service operation. A veteran of World War II, he was a Service Officer and Adjutant in the Metropolitan American Legion Post 385. He attended both Rutgers and Columbia University. Predeceased by his beloved wife, Ruth in 2001, Vincent leaves behind two loving daughters, Mary Genovese of Flemington, NJ and Nancy Razza of Neptune, NJ, their respective spouses and treasured members of the family, Richard Genovese and Daniel Tomasulo and his cherished grandchildren, Maricha, Gregory and Katie Genovese of Flemington, NJ and Devon Tomasulo of Freehold, NJ. Visiting at Blackley Funeral Home, 809 Broad Ave., Ridgefield, NJ (201) 945-5032 on Thursday from 9:30-11 AM. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 11:30 AM at St. Michael's R.C. Church, Palisades Park. Interment to follow at Madonna Cemetery, Fort Lee. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Coastal Habitat for Humanity, 200 Highway 71-Suite 3, Spring Lake, NJ 07762.
