Stephen F. Pellino, the beloved oldest son of Frank and Anne Pellino, graced this world in Queens, New York and found his home in Ridgefield, NJ. In the corridors of Ridgefield Memorial High School, he emerged as a star athlete, shining brightly in basketball, while also excelling in his academic pursuits. His journey led him to Columbia University and later to Fordham Law School, where he nurtured his passion for justice.
With unwavering dedication, Steve embarked on a legal career that spanned over four decades, leaving an unforgettable mark on his community. He helped establish the esteemed Basile, Birchwale & Pellino law firm, where he endeavored to serve the needs of those around him. As Borough Attorney for Ridgefield, Paramus and Saddle Brook he provided invaluable guidance. His commitment to education was exemplified by his role as the trusted attorney for the Fairview Public School District board of education, and as a member of the Board of Trustees for Bergen Community College.
Steve's greatest joy, however, resided in those who survived him. His role as a devoted father to Frank, Katrina, and Sal (deceased), alongside their mother, Loretta. As a grandfather he cherished Jason and James. His bond with his brother, Christopher Pellino, and his wife Susan of Milltown, NJ, and with his sister, Lori (Lorraine) Pellino Habersaat, and her husband Frederick of Leland, NC, was an unbreakable thread that wove together their shared memories and deep affection. Moreover, Steve's presence extended far and wide, touching the lives of numerous nieces and nephews who held him dear to their hearts. His love and support were the bedrock upon which his family's lives flourished. They now bear the weight of his absence, forever grateful for the love and wisdom he bestowed upon them.
Steve's vibrant spirit, brimming with joy and compassion, endeared him to all who crossed his path. His generosity knew no bounds, as he eagerly offered a helping hand to anyone in need. His absence leaves an irreplaceable void in his community, where he will forever be remembered as a beacon of warmth and love. The legacy of his jovial nature and unwavering dedication will continue to inspire and guide us all.
In the midst of our collective grief, we find solace in the memories we shared, the laughter we cherished, and the immeasurable impact Steve had on our lives. He will forever be missed by his community, his beloved family, and all who were privileged to know him.
