Sheila F Hutchinson

HUTCHINSON - Sheila F. (née:  Gaffney), 82, of Palisades Park, passed away peacefully on August 30, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family and friends. 

Beloved wife of the late David P. Hutchinson, Sr. Devoted mother of Cheryl Pietrucha, Walter Hutchinson and his wife Barbara, William Hutchinson and his wife Letrease, Robin Grunden-Hutchinson and the late Gayle Pietrucha and David P Hutchinson, Jr. Proud grandmother of Allison Hutchinson. Cherished sister of Maureen Pigott , Kathleen Brandt and the late Rita Ann Gaffney. Loving godmother of Amy Newcombe and aunt to many nieces and nephews. Dear friend of Georgia and Nick Zafiris, Debra Robinson, Ronald Davis , Ozella Robinson, Cathy Martino, Rosemary Raspavolo, Alice Theodorakos, JoAnn McGrath Tambouri, Catherine Ulshoefer, Adrian Sertich and Abby Schlectman.

Sheila worked for the Bergen County Special Services, Paramus NJ for more than 25 years retiring in 2008. She was an ESL and learning disabilities teacher while being a member of the child study teams. Former recipient of the Bergen County Teacher of the Year Award for Special Services. Mrs. Hutchinson was a Girl Scout Leader in Hawthorne NJ and a Cub Scout Leader in Palisades Park. She also assisted the CYO for Saint Michael Church in Palisades Park.

Family and friends may pay their respects on Thursday, September 2nd from 4-8 pm at the Blackley Funeral Home, 809 Broad Ave., Ridgefield NJ 201.945.5032.Gathering on Friday, September 3rd at 9 am at the funeral home to attend the Funeral Mass at 10 am St. Michael RC Church, Palisades Park. Interment George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Sheila F.
