Ronald Sahai

Ronald Sahai, age 74, passed away on August 12, 2022, with his loving family by his side. He was born on January 22, 1948, in San Fernando, Trinidad & Tobago, the son of late parents Sylvester and Marion Sahai. In 1986, Ronald moved to the United States with his family to Queens, NY, and in 1992 moved to Ridgefield NJ. After his sons graduated high school, he moved to Bergenfield NJ, with his wife and ultimately settled in Piscataway NJ.
Ronald's faith in God guided him throughout his life. He enjoyed being an active member of the 5th Naparima scouts in Trinidad. He volunteered throughout the community and supported different foundations to include the Cheshire Home, which supported individuals with physical disabilities.
Before retiring Ronald worked 20 years as a payroll clerk at Long Island Jewish Hospital. Upon retirement, he was excited to spend more time with his wife, sons, daughters-in-law, and especially his grandchildren. He also enjoyed catching up with all his friends and watching his soccer matches.
Ronald is survived by his wife of 45 years Debby, his sons Rawn, Troy, and Marlon, his grandchildren Ashley, Chloe, Tyler, Lexi, Mila, and Cade, his daughters-in-law Nikol, Lauren, and Christina; along with his brother Lindsay, sisters Sylmarie and Carol, nephews, nieces, and brothers and sisters-in-law.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate Ronald's life at a funeral service on Saturday, August 20th at 11:00 AM, at the Presbyterian Church in Leonia, located at 181 Fort Lee Road, Leonia, NJ 07605.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
