Richard R., of Fairview, NJ, born in West New York, NJ, entered in eternal rest on May 4, 2013 at the age of 80. Devoted husband of Diane Menzel Thoma of Fairview. Beloved father of Lise Thoma of Edgewater, NJ, Katrina De la Cruz of Hillsborough, NJ and her husband Ralph, and Richard Thoma of Basking Ridge, NJ and his wife Christine. Cherished grandfather of Christopher and Mae Lesko, Justin, Melanie and Brianna De la Cruz, and Spenser and Liam Thoma. Richard was very devoted to his family and a hard worker in his own embroidery business. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean War. He also loved the Poconos. Visiting on Tuesday from 3 to 7 PM at Blackley Funeral Home, 809 Broad Ave., Ridgefield, NJ, (201) 945-5032. Family and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Wednesday at 9 AM, to attend the funeral service there on Wednesday at 10 AM. Final prayers will follow at Cedar Lawn Crematory.
