Peter Zucchino Obituary

ZUCCHINO Peter, of Cliffside Park, NJ, formerly of Fairview, entered into eternal life on July 24, 2011 at the age of 92. Devoted husband of Jean Carolyn (nee Savoia) Zucchino. Beloved father of Carol Jean Gardocki of Paramus and her husband Thomas, and Debra Lynn Allgeiere of Paramus and her husband Raymond. Cherished grandfather of Michael Thomas and Jeanna Lynn. Peter was a very kind and gentle man who was easily loved by all. He served his country in the US Army under General Patton. He landed in Normandy, France for D-Day, served in the Battle of the Bulge, and then helped liberate the concentration camps in Europe. He was an auto mechanic for many years at McGuire Chevrolet, North Bergen. He was also named Man of the Year 1995 at Lincoln School in Fairview. Visiting will be at Blackley Funeral Home, 809 Broad Ave., Ridgefield (201)945-5032 on Tuesday from 4-8 PM. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home on Wednesday at 10:30 AM to attend the funeral mass at Our Lady of Grace RC Church, Fairview on Wednesday at 11:30 AM.
