Paul Ferrara Obituary

FERRARA - Paul Philip, age 93 of Ridgefield died April 12th at Inglemoor Nursing Home, Englewood, NJ. Born in New York City and resident of Ridgefield for 50 years, Paul retired after many years as a elevator starter in New York and was a member of Local 32B/32J. He was a member of the Ridgefield Senior Citizens, UNICO and St. Matthews Parish. An avid Yankee fan, Paul was always in good humor and appreciative of the love and support of those who would visit him daily in his
"Room 206
" where he spent his final years. He was predeceased by his wife, Rose and also by his brothers and sisters, Ben, Joseph, Salvatore, Margaret, Mary, Gus, Rose and Tony. His sister Frances Anderson of NY and his sister-in-law Rose Ferrara survive him. Most cherished godfather to devoted nephew Anthony J. Ferrara, beloved uncle to John J. Ferrara also of Ridgefield and to loving niece Joanne Marie Charles and her husband Dr. James Charles of Ridgewood. Dear great-uncle to their daughters, Christine and Francine Charles. Also especially loved by Toni Jesuele, Marcia Bellotti and Concetta Lionetti. Survived by other nieces and nephews as well, both near and far. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Joe Torre Foundation. Visiting hours at Blackley Funeral Home on Friday 2-4 and 7-9. Family and friends can gather at the funeral home at 9 AM on Saturday, followed by a blessing to be celebrated at Madonna's Church on the Hill at 10 AM.
