De ROBERTIS
Pasqua (nee Amato), of Ridgefield, NJ went to heaven on October 12, 2015 at the age of 62 surrounded by her husband and children. Pasqua was born in Molfetta, Bari, Italy. She came to the United States in 1968 with her parents the late Donato Amato and Franceschina Amato (nee Facchini) and briefly resided in Hoboken. She met the love of her life Antonio De Robertis in 1971, wed in Italy in 1973 and then settled back in the United States where they began their life together. Pasqua was a master seamstress learning the trade at an early age. She had an amazing talent of sewing garments, creating window treatments and even sewing her daughter's custom wedding gown by hand. She could turn any piece of fabric into a work of art. Pasqua's greatest passion was cooking and spending time with her family. She fought a courageous battle against ALS with dignity and strength. She was the strongest and bravest woman we have ever known, our hero, and will truly be missed. She is survived by her devoted husband of 42 years Antonio; son Nicholas De Robertis and his loving partner Theresa Mahon; daughter Francesca Montalbano and her husband John Montalbano. She will be cherished by her loving grandchildren Anthony, Joseph, Sofia, Christopher De Robertis and Luca Montalbano. She was a long time parishioner of St. Matthew's Church in Ridgefield. Viewing will be held on Thursday October 15th from 5 PM - 9 PM at Blackley Funeral Home, 809 Broad Ave., Ridgefield, NJ (201) 945-5032. On Friday October 16th there will be a funeral mass at St. Matthew's RC Church, 555 Prospect Ave., Ridgefield, NJ at 10 AM followed by entombment at Garden of Memories, 300 Soldier Hill Rd., Washington Township.
