Michael Saladino Obituary
SALADINO
Michael Joseph, 97 years old, of North Bergen, NJ, passed away on March 20th, 2013 of natural causes. He is predeceased by his beloved wife Blanche, his brother Dr. Anthony Saladino of Union City, his sisters Josephine Calabria and Maria Calabria of Ridgefield. He is predeceased also by members of the D'Allesio family, the Musto family, Olivetti family and Beekman family. He leaves a son Michael Anthony of North Bergen, a daughter, Michelle and granddaughter Karley of North Carolina. He also leaves a sister, Elisabeth and nephews Michael and Andrew Latham of Ridgefield. He leaves sister-in-laws, Milly DeMeo and Ida Iodice and their children and nieces and nephews named Musto, Meglio, Olivetti and Beekman. He served in World War II as a medical technician in battles of Belgium, Germany and the surrounding areas. He received two Purple Hearts and numerous Citations for Bravery in Action. As a communicant, he belonged to St Matthew's Parish. Before retiring, Michael was the President of Aladdin Lace and RAM Embroidery. Visiting will be held at Blackley Funeral Home, 809 Broad Ave., Ridgefield on Thursday, March 21st from 4-8 PM. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home on Friday, March 22nd at 9:15 AM to attend a Funeral Mass at St. Matthew's R.C. Church, 555 Prospect Ave., Ridgefield on Friday at 10:15 AM.
