Mary Ann Vlakic

Mary Ann Vlakic, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on February 27, 2026.

Mary Ann met the love of her life, Franko, while working in the garment district, beginning a beautiful partnership that lasted more than fifty years. After marrying, she devoted herself fully to her home and family, bringing warmth, grace, and unwavering love to everyone around her.

She was the devoted mother of Steven and his wife, Kathryn, and of Julie and her husband, Dan. Her greatest joy in life was her beloved grandchildren — Marco, Luca, Rocco, Jude, and Noah — each of whom she cherished beyond measure.

Mary Ann had a gentle heart and a special place in it for her two Yorkshire Terriers, who lived by her side for over eighteen years and brought her tremendous comfort and companionship. She loved keeping up with the world through newspapers and magazines.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Blackley Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 3rd, from 4:00–8:00 PM. Those who wish may gather at the funeral home on Wednesday, March 4th, at 9:00 AM prior to the 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at St. Michael's Church, in Palisades Park. Entombment will follow at Garden of Memories.

Mary Ann will be remembered for her elegance, warmth, and the deep love she gave her family. Her presence will be profoundly missed, and her memory will forever be cherished.
