Martha H. Resch

Ridgefield - Martha H Resch (nee Hug), 92, of Ridgefield passed away on October10, 2018. Martha was born in Union City NJ on August 12,1926. Before retiring at age 82 she worked in various capacities for the Ridgefield public schools for almost 40 years. She served as a teachers aid for autistic preschoolers.

Martha was predeceased by her husband Andrew A Resch. She is survived by her two sons Kurt M Resch and his wife Nina and Steven A Resch and his wife Eva. She is also survived by her grandchildren Sarah K Resch, Andrew K Resch and Melissa Resch as well as great grandsons Andrew Otero and Jack Henry Pell.

Martha was very active in all aspects of civic life in Ridgefield. She was president of the friends of the Ridgefield Public Library. She was also an elder in the English Neighborhood Reformed Church and a Bergen County Republican Committeewoman.

Family and friends will be welcomed at Blackley Funeral Home, 809 Broad Avenue, Ridgefield NJ from 3PM to 7PM on Friday October 12. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday at the English Neighborhood Reformed Church Ridgefield followed by interment at Ridgefield Cemetery.
