Margaret 58, of Ridgefield, passed away on March 1, 2013. Born in the Bronx to Philip and Dorothy (nee Riley) McDermott. She lived most of her life in Ridgefield. As a Licensed Practical Nurse she worked for Saddle Brook General Hospital for many years, then used her nursing skills working for Dr. Riesman's office private practice in Englewood for five years. She loved her children, boating down the Hudson with her long time companion of 18 years, Charlie Dillon, shopping in little gift stores and being an active parishioner of St. Matthew Church. She was a proud mother and grandmother. Margaret is survived by her three daughters, Michelle Ruggiero-Perrota and her husband Michael, Crystal Ruggiero-Maynard and her husband Danilo, Racquel Ruggiero-Benitez and her husband Danny and adored grandson Thomas Philip Perrota. Funeral Wednesday 9:15 AM, from the Blackley Funeral Home, 809 Broad Ave., Ridgefield, followed by a 10:15 AM Mass of Christian Burial in St. Matthew RC Church, Ridgefield. Family will receive friends Tuesday, 5 to 9 PM. Cremation Cedar Lawn Crematory Paterson. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
