Kenneth Buchner Obituary

BUCHNER
Kenneth, of Emerson, NJ, formerly of Ridgefield, NJ, entered into eternal rest on September 10, 2014 at the age of 95. Devoted husband of the late Edna C. Buchner. Beloved father of Dee Anderson, David Buchner and his wife Sandy, and Douglas Buchner and his wife Doreen. Cherished grandfather of David and his wife Michele, Tammy and her husband Chris, Tara and her husband Ryan, and Sinclair. Treasured great-grandfather of Jacob, Sara, Emma, Kylee, Hannah, Ethan and Aiden. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Kenneth was a machinist, and owner of Kenduit Manufacturing, Palisades Park. He was an Elder of English Neighborhood Reformed Church where he was a Sunday School administrator and teacher for over 60 years, and also a choir member. He was member of Gideons International. He was a music lover and demonstrated his admiration for music as a 30 year member of the Barber Shop Harmony Society (S.P.E.B.S.Q.S.A.), as a singer and director of the Ridgefield Senior Citizen's Harmoneers, and he also played four instruments in the Big Bands of the 1940s.
Visiting will be held on Tuesday from 3:30 PM to 7:30 PM at Blackley Funeral Home, 809 Broad Avenue, Ridgefield, NJ (201) 945-5032. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home on Wednesday at 9 AM to attend the funeral service there on Wednesday at 10 AM. Burial will follow in Ridgefield Cemetery, Ridgefield. In lieu of flowers, a donation in memory of Kenneth Buchner may be made to the Armenian Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, 70 Main Street, Emerson, NJ 07630.
