Josephine (nee La Porta), of Palisades Park, NJ, entered into eternal rest on August 1, 2012 at the age of 105. Devoted wife of the late Gene who died in 1971. Beloved mother of Frances Gaski of Leonia, NJ and her husband, the late Gregory. Loving grandmother of Felicia Murano of Ridgewood, NJ and her husband, John. Cherished great-grandmother of Victoria of Ridgewood, NJ. Dear sister of Carmelita Venezia of Fort Lee, NJ and her husband, the late John, and Esther La Porta of Palisades Park, NJ. Josephine was the owner of Josephine's Beauty Parlor, Edgewater, NJ. She was a parishioner of St. Michael's R.C. Church, Palisades Park. Family and friends are invited to gather at Blackley Funeral Home, 809 Broad Ave., Ridgefield, NJ (201) 945-5032 on Saturday from 9-10 AM. Her funeral service will take place at the funeral home at 10 AM. Burial to follow in Madonna Cemetery, Fort Lee. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holy Name Hospice, Teaneck, NJ.
