John Thomas Dritschel, 62, of Teaneck, NJ, formerly of Ridgefield Park, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, February 17, 2026. Born in Hoboken, NJ, he is the son of the late Elizabeth Dritschel (nee Schroeder) and the late John Dritschel, and the brother of the late Michael Dritschel.
Johnny, as known by family and friends, was an avid Mets and Giants fan. He loved to spend his free time fishing.
He is survived by his brothers, Stephen (and wife, Robyn) and Thomas (and wife, Christine), his sisters, Patricia Palka, Nancy Hetzel and Carol Davis. John is also survived by 11 nieces and nephews and 6 great nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at Blackley Funeral Home, 809 Broad Avenue, Ridgefield, NJ on February 24, 2026 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, afsp.org.
