John Denny Obituary

DENNY John Francis, of Ridgefield, entered into eternal rest on April 10, 2011 at the age of 87. Devoted husband of the late Ann Mary (nee Lustmann) Denny who died in December, 2010. Beloved father of John M. Denny of Yonkers, NY and his wife Oksana, Maureen Santarsiero of Toms River, NJ and her husband William, Steven M. Denny and his wife Valerie, Ann Ferrara of and her husband Carl, and Ellen Zechmeister and her husband Jonathan, all of Kinnelon, NJ. Survived by his brother, Donald Denny of Bricktown, NJ. Predeceased by his sister Dolores Lustmann and by his two brothers, Robert and Thomas Denny. Cherished grandfather of Carl, Brianna, Nicholas, Erin, Stephen, Kimberly, Paul, Peter and Katherine. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. John was an avid fisherman. He was a parishioner of St. Matthew's R.C. Church, Ridgefield. He was a member of the Seniors of Ridgefield, a member of the A.F. of L. International Chemical Workers Union, and a member of the Civilian Conservation Corps. As a member of the US Navy, he served his country during World War II and achieved the rank of Seaman First Class. Visiting at Blackley Funeral Home, 809 Broad Ave., Ridgefield (201) 945-5032 on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-9 PM. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home on Friday at 9:15 AM to attend the funeral mass on Friday at 10:15 AM at St. Matthew's Church, Ridgefield. Interment to follow at Our Lady of the Magnificat Cemetery, Kinnelon, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John's memory to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, P.O.
