Joanne Orecchio Christie Obituary

Joanne Orecchio Christie (née Reiff)
August 7, 1942 – March 10, 2025

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Joanne Orecchio Christie on March 10, 2025.
Joanne lived a life marked by resilience, passion, and an unwavering devotion to those she loved. Born on August 7, 1942, Joanne was the beloved daughter of the late John and Rose Reiff and sister to her late brother, Jim Reiff. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Joe Orecchio, and her second husband, Jim Christie, both of whom held a special place in her heart.
Joanne was the proud and devoted mother of John Orecchio, Joe Orecchio (wife Elyse), and Jodi Brown (husband Carl). She cherished her role as "Grandma" to her seven adored grandchildren: Gianna Orecchio, Harrison Orecchio, Theo Orecchio, Melody Orecchio, Alex Brown, Ethan Brown, and Max Brown.
Real estate was more than a career for Joanne—it was her passion. She worked tirelessly, not just for success, but to provide for her family and create opportunities for those she loved. Yet, nothing mattered more to her than family. Joanne was the heartbeat of every gathering, never missing a milestone, game, or celebration. She found immeasurable joy in being present for her children and grandchildren, always their biggest supporter. Her home was a place of warmth, laughter, and love—not just for her family, but for her beloved cats, her cherished fur babies. Joanne had an extraordinary way of making people feel special, always knowing the right words to say and the right moment to simply listen. She touched the lives of so many with her kindness, strength, and unwavering love, and her absence leaves an unfillable void in the hearts of all who knew her.

Family and friends are invited to honor Joanne’s life on Thursday, March 13, 2025, at Blackley Funeral Home in Ridgefield, NJ. A viewing will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, with a prayer service at 12:30pm.  Burial to follow at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus, NJ. Flowers are welcome and may be sent to Blackley Funeral Home in Joanne’s memory. Though Joanne is no longer physically with us, her love, wisdom, and laughter will live on in the countless lives she touched. She will be missed beyond measure but never forgotten.
