Inez Christie
Pompton Plains - Inez Christie, 93 passed away on Saturday January 19 at Mountainview Gardens in Pompton Plains. She was born in West New York, NJ. and lived over 60 years in Ridgefield before moving to Cedar Crest Village in 2012.
Inez is predeceased by her parents Matthew and Maria Povinelli, her beloved husband Hank Christie and six siblings, Lou and Ray Povinelli, Marie Haas, Ann Maffei, Lena Chiste and Teresa Maganzin.
Inez is survived by her loving daughters Jeanne Colford and her husband Joseph of Middletown, NJ and Lorraine DeSimone and her husband Jeff of Mahwah, four grandsons, Matthew Colford and his wife Nyla, Michael Colford and his wife Jayne, Jeffrey DeSimone and his wife Julianne and Danny De Simone and his wife Lauren.
She is also survived by 3 great- grandchildren Cole, Nelly and Nolan and one great grandchild on the way. Inez was a homemaker who loved her family and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation from 9-10 AM on Wednesday January 23 at Blackley Funeral Home and a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:15 AM at St Matthews Church, both in Ridgefield. Interment will be at Madonna Cemetery in Fort Lee.
