Herbert W. Stroever

STROEVER Herbert W., of Ridgefield, NJ, entered into eternal rest on November 26, 2010 at home at the age of 90. Devoted husband of the late Elizabeth (nee Fournier) who died in 2000. Beloved father of Dale of Little Silver, NJ and his wife Eileen, Bruce of Long Valley, NJ and his wife Karen, Craig of Jupiter, FLA and his wife Barbara, Glenn of Oradell, NJ and his wife Karen, Randy of Easton, PA and his wife Judy, and Keith of Westfield, NJ and his wife Cris. Cherished grandfather of 16 grandchildren. Loving great-grandfather of five great-grandchildren. He was the only child of the late Herbert T. and Anna M. Schlicht Stroever of Guttenberg, NJ. Before retiring, he was Senior Maintainability Engineer for Singer Kearfott, Little Falls, NJ, and, prior to 1965, he was a Flight Engineer for Eastern Airlines for many years. Visiting will be on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Blackley Funeral Home, 809 Broad Ave., Ridgefield (201) 945-5032. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home on Tuesday at 9 AM to attend the funeral service there on Tuesday at 10 AM. Interment to follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus.
