Frank, 90, a long-time resident of Palisades Park, NJ, passed away peacefully on May 31, 2015. Frank was a WWII veteran, recipient of The Purple Heart and The American Legion Silver Star Certificate. Predeceased by his parents, three brothers, two sisters, and his wife, Ida (nee DeGennaro); Frank is survived by his daughter, Dr. Rosanne Carrero, of Washington State, nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends. A kind and generous man, Frank was trustworthy, honest, caring, loyal, and a devoted father. He will be missed by his family & friends. His viewing is to be held at Blackley Funeral Home, 809 Broad Ave., Ridgefield, NJ on Wednesday June 3, 2015 from 4 PM to 8 PM. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home on Thursday, June 4, 2015 at 9 AM to attend the Funeral Mass to be held at St. Matthew R.C. Church, 555 Prospect Ave., Ridgefield, NJ on Thursday, June 4, 2015 at 10 AM. Interment to follow at Madonna Cemetery, Fort Lee. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Disabled American Veterans Charitable Services Trust (Cold Springs, KY) and Homes for Our Troops (Taunton, MA) would be appreciated.
