Francisca Garcia, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on January 29, 2024, at her home in Ridgefield, New Jersey. She was born on March 9, 1936, in Fomento, Cuba.

Francisca is survived by her children, Nancy and Hugo Jimenez. A beacon of love and pride, she was a devoted grandmother to Daisy, Barbara, and Greg, as well as a source of joy for her great-grandchildren, Mabel, Christopher and Nicholas.

Francisca embarked on a remarkable journey, moving to the United States on her own, where she worked tirelessly to build a life in America. Her determination and resilience were evident as she faced the challenges of a new country, creating opportunities for herself and her family. She was a devoted wife to her late husband, Manuel Garcia. Together, they created a loving family and shared a lifetime of cherished memories.

Family meant everything to Francisca, and she dedicated her life to creating a warm and loving home for those she loved. Known affectionately as "Wita" to her favorite people, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, she filled their lives with love, laughter, and endless joy. She was also known as "Tia Nene" to many, a beloved aunt whose warmth and care touched the hearts of all who knew her.

In addition to her devotion to family, Francisca had a green thumb and a passion for gardening. She found joy and solace in tending to her garden, creating a haven of beauty and tranquility.

A true friend to all around her, Francisca will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and the warmth she extended to those in her community. Despite the miles that separated her from her family in Cuba, her love and support knew no bounds. She remained connected and caring, always sending love and providing support in any way possible.

The funeral service to celebrate Francisca's life will be held on Wednesday, January 31st, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Blackley Funeral Home, located in Ridgefield, NJ. 

Francisca Garcia, or "Wita" or "Tia Nene," will be dearly missed, but her love, strength, and the memories she created will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Francisca García, querida madre, abuela y bisabuela, falleció el 29 de enero de 2024 en su hogar en Ridgefield, Nueva Jersey. Nació el 9 de marzo de 1936 en Fomento, Cuba.

Francisca es sobrevivida por su hijos, Nancy and Hugo Jiménez. Faro de amor y orgullo, fue una abuela dedicada para Daisy, Barbara, y Greg, así como una fuente de alegría para sus bisnietos, Mabel, Christopher, and Nicholas.

Francisca emprendió un viaje notable, mudándose a los Estados Unidos por sí misma, donde trabajó incansablemente para construir una vida en América. Su determinación y resistencia fueron evidentes mientras enfrentaba los desafíos de un nuevo país, creando oportunidades para ella y su familia. También era conocida como "Tía Nene" por muchos, una querida tía cuya calidez y cuidado tocaron los corazones de todos los que la conocieron.

Además de su devoción a la familia, Francisca tenía mano verde y una pasión por la jardinería. Encontraba alegría y consuelo cuidando su jardín, creando un refugio de belleza y tranquilidad.

Una verdadera amiga para todos a su alrededor, Francisca será recordada por su amabilidad, generosidad y la calidez que brindó a quienes formaban parte de su comunidad. A pesar de las millas que la separaban de su familia en Cuba, su amor y apoyo no conocían límites. Permaneció conectada y cariñosa, siempre enviando amor y brindando apoyo de todas las maneras posibles.

El servicio fúnebre para celebrar la vida de Francisca se llevará a cabo el miércoles 31 de enero, de 10:00 a.m. a 12:00 p.m. en la Funeraria Blackley, ubicada en Ridgefield, NJ.

Francisca García, o "Wita" o "Tía Nene", será profundamente extrañada, pero su amor, fuerza y los recuerdos que creó vivirán en los corazones de todos los que la conocieron.
