Eugene Dougherty Obituary
PEQUANNOCK - Services were held for Eugene Gregory Dougherty, 87, of the Pompton Plains section of this community, who died on Friday, June 21, 2013.
Mr. Dougherty lived in Ridgefield and Toms River before moving to Pompton Plains. He worked for the Borough of Ridgefield Department of Public Works for many years. Also, he was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Ridgefield.
Services were Monday at the Blackley Funeral Home, Ridgefield, followed by Mass at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church. Interment was at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus. Donations may be sent to Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Mr. Dougherty is survived by his sons, Paul and Robert; his sister, Dolly Heinz; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife, the former Pauline Sohl.
