Eros Ronchi passed away peacefully on December 10, 2022 with his loving family by his side.
He was born to Marguerite and Iseo Ronchi on January 9, 1930 and graduated from Holy Family School in 1947. Eros dedicated much of his life to serving others. He was an enlisted member of the Army/Air Force (1948-1954), was a member of the Ridgefield Volunteer Fire Department for over 25 years, where he served as Chief. He was a dedicated parishioner of St. Matthew’s Roman Catholic Church, Ridgefield, New Jersey for over 50 years, serving in several volunteer capacities. He was also very involved in the Ridgefield Senior Citizens organization, where he served as President for more than 10 years.
Eros was employed by New Jersey Bell Telephone for 30 years, followed by employment through the IBEW, Local 2, for an additional 10 years. He is survived by his devoted wife, Jean (nee Miller) of 67 plus years; his sister Diana Ronchi-Palombini; his adoring children Cheryl Cordeiro (Jim), Lauren DeSimone (Gerry), and Tom Ronchi; his grandchildren James Cordeiro, Ryan Cordeiro, Thomas DeSimone, and Christopher DeSimone; and four great-grandchildren, Mia Cordeiro, Elijah DeSimone-Wright, Savana Cordeiro, and Weston Cordeiro. Eros will be deeply missed by his family, friends and the communities he served throughout his lifetime.

Friends and family are invited for visitation on Thursday, December 15, 2022 - 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm, and Funeral Mass at St. Matthew's RC Church on Friday, December 16, 2022.
