REFOLO Ernest John, "Ernie," formerly of Ridgefield, NJ and Palm Coast, FL, died on April 28, 2011 at the age of 81. Devoted husband of Joan (nee Perillo) Refolo. Beloved father of Anita Laux of Parsippany and her husband Robert, Lisa Albanese of Emerson and her husband John, Carla Culkin of Hasbrouck Heights and her husband Michael, and Michael Refolo of Shrewsbury, MA and his wife Ann. Loving brother of Joseph, John, Concetta, Angela, and the late Michael. Cherished grandfather of nine. Ernest worked for Prudential. He served his country in the US Air Force during the Korean War. He was very active in the Borough of Ridgefield, serving as Bicentennial Chairman 1976, Councilman, Borough Clerk/Administrator, President of the Theater Guild, President of UNICO, Man of the Year 1982, and he was a member of the Democratic Club, the American Legion and the VFW. Visiting at Blackley Funeral Home, 809 Broad Ave., Ridgefield (201) 945-5032 on Sunday from 3-7 PM. Entombment will be private.
