Elisabeth Latham Obituary

LATHAM
Elisabeth J., of Ridgefield, passed into eternity on March 1, 2016 of natural causes.
She is predeceased by her husband Andrew. She was the beloved daughter of Angelina Musto and Giacomo Saladino, the sister of Dr. Anthony Saladino, Josephine Calabria, Marie Bianco and Michael Saladino. Sister-in-law of Raymond, David and Vincent Latham. Survived by her two sons Michael and Andrew Jr; daughter-in-law, Frances and granddaughter, Nicole; and by many nieces and nephews in the NJ, PA and CA areas.
Elisabeth was an elementary teacher in Union City, a Special Ed teacher in Palisades Park, an art teacher for St Matthew's School, and for 17 years the Head of the Union Hill H.S. Library in Union City.
Elisabeth was a communicant of St Matthew's RC Church in Ridgefield and was CCD teacher for the high school girls for 11 years. She was also a member of UNICO, the Children of Mary Society, Rosary Society and Choir member for many years, besides being a Girl Scout leader in the Ridgefield chapter. Elisabeth was always a willing worker and participant and will be dearly missed.
Visiting will be held at Blackley Funeral Home, 809 Broad Ave., Ridgefield, NJ (201) 945-5032 on Thursday from 7-9 PM and on Friday from 5-9 PM. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home on Saturday at 9AM to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Matthew's RC Church, 555 Prospect Ave., Ridgefield on Saturday at 10AM. Entombment to follow at Fairview Mausoleum, Fairview, NJ. Please send condolences to blackleyfh.com.
