Edward T., of Cliffside Park, NJ, entered into eternal rest on October 30, 2012 at the age of 68. Devoted husband of Layla (nee Saoud), the love of his life for 37 years. Beloved father of Carol Marchesani and her husband Daniel, Sandra Attal, and Jennifer Attal and her fiancé John. Cherished grandfather of Ethan Edward and Gianna Jolie. Born in Lebanon, Edward came to the United States in 1972. He was a very hard worker and nothing was more important to him than spending time with his family. As the son of a fisherman, he enjoyed fishing and he was also very fond of the ocean for his entire life. He was a very strong and brave man who attacked all that he did fearlessly. He was taken from his family after a short illness. Visiting at Blackley Funeral Home, 809 Broad Ave., Ridgefield, NJ (201)945-5032 on Thursday from 5-9 PM. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home on Friday at 11 AM to attend the Funeral Mass at the Church of St. Matthew, 555 Prospect Ave., Ridgefield, NJ on Friday at 12:00 Noon. Entombment to follow at Madonna Mausoleum, Fort Lee, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Edward may be made to his family for the charity of their choice.
