Elisabeth J. Latham Library professional at Union City high school and CCD teacher at Ridgefield parish Elisabeth J. Latham of Ridgefield, N.J., passed into eternity on March 1, 2016, of natural causes. Visitation will be held at Blackley Funeral Home, 809 Broad Ave., Ridgefield, (201) 945-5032, on Thursday from 7 t0 9 p.m. and on Friday from 5 to 9 p.m. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home on Saturday at 9 a.m. to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Matthew's R.C. Church, 555 Prospect Ave., Ridgefield, on Saturday at 10 a.m. Entombment will follow at Fairview Mausoleum, Fairview, N.J. Elisabeth was an elementary teacher in Union City, N.J.; a special education teacher in Palisades Park, N.J.; an art teacher at St. Matthew's School, and for 17 years, she was the head of the Union Hill High School Library in Union City, N.J. Elisabeth was a communicant of St Matthew's R.C. Church in Ridgefield and was a CCD teacher for the high school girls for 11 years. She was also a member of UNICO, the Children of Mary Society, Rosary Society and a choir member for many years. Also, she was a Girl Scout leader in the Ridgefield chapter. Elisabeth was always a willing worker and participant and will be dearly missed. She was predeceased by her husband, Andrew; her beloved parents, Angelina Musto and Giacomo Saladino; brother, Dr. Anthony Saladino; sisters, Josephine Calabria, Marie Bianco and brother, Michael Saladino. She was also predeceased by her brothers-in-law, Raymond, David and Vincent Latham. She is survived by her two sons, Michael and Andrew Jr.; daughter-in-law, Frances, and granddaughter, Nicole; and by many nieces and nephews in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and California.
