In Loving Memory of Delia Pierro

Delia Pierro passed away peacefully, leaving behind a lifetime of cherished memories and the love of family and friends.

Born with a spirit of curiosity and adventure, Delia found joy in reading both fiction and non-fiction and was an avid traveler. She treasured visits to Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico, and Aruba, where she created lasting memories with friends. She enjoyed skiing in Colorado, especially in Breckenridge and Aspen, cruising aboard the historic Queen Mary, and camping with loved ones. Her love of learning, exploration, and the outdoors enriched her life and inspired those around her.

Delia was predeceased by her beloved husband, Nicholas Pierro, who passed away in October 2006. They were married on October 14, 1962, and shared 44 years of marriage.

She is lovingly survived by her son, Nicholas Dean Pierro and his spouse, Babette; her daughter, Janine Pierro Martinez and her spouse, Mark; her brother, Michael Vinciguerra; and her treasured grandsons, Mark-Nicholas Pierro Martinez and Luke Pierro Martinez.

Delia will be remembered for her love of family, her adventurous spirit, and the warmth and kindness she shared with everyone who knew her. Her legacy lives on in the many lives she touched.

Friends and family are welcome to celebrate Delia's life on Wednesday, August 5, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Matthew's Church in Ridgefield, New Jersey, with entombment to follow at Flower Hill Cemetery in North Bergen, New Jersey.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made in Delia's memory to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
