It is with great sadness that the family of Christos Kalimtzis announces his passing after a brief illness, on Thursday, July 12, at the age of 87 years. Christos was born in Mytilene, Greece to John and Anastasia Kalimtzis on March 16, 1931. He came to the United States in 1949 to pursue the American Dream. Christos will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 61 years, Anastasia and his children, John (Dawn) and Harry (Dina). Christos will also be forever remembered by his four grandchildren, Christopher, Michael, Johnny and Nick, by his niece, Nikki and nephew Christos. Christos was predeceased by his brothers Angelo, Kostas and his sister Anna.

A Celebration of Christos' life will be held from 4-8pm, on Monday, July 16, at the Blackley Funeral Home in Ridgefield, NJ. A Funeral Service in memory of Christos will be held at 12:00 Noon on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at the Ascension Greek Orthodox Church in Fairview. Interment will follow in the Fairview Cemetery.
