Charles Pavlik

PAVLIK Charles J., 86, of Palisades Park, NJ, formerly of Fairview, entered into eternal rest at home comforted by Holy Name Hospice and Angela. Devoted husband of the late Geraldine who died in 2006. Beloved father of Denise Kurz of Palisades Park and her husband Joe, and Dennis Pavlik of Holmdel, NJ, and his wife Dawn. Loving brother of Arthur Pavlik of Hawthorne, NJ. Cherished grandfather of Diana Kurz of Palisades Park, and Nicolette and Jadeyn Pavlik, both of Holmdel. He was lovingly remembered by everyone as "Grandpa". Before retiring, he was a dock worker for CPC International, Ridgefield. He served in WWII in the US Navy and as a veteran, Charles was a member of the VFW, Fairview, and the American Legion, Ridgefield. He was an executive board member and volunteer coach of Palisades Park Little League, and a member of Palisades Park Recreation and the Palisades Park Zoning Board. Visiting will be at Blackley Funeral Home, 809 Broad Ave., Ridgefield, (201) 945-5032, on Tuesday, from 7-9 PM and on Wednesday, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home on Thursday, at 9 AM, to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Michael's RC Church, Palisades Park on Thursday, at 10 AM.
