CARMINE SIPPO

CARMINE C. SIPPO UNION CITY Carmine C. Sippo, entered into eternal rest on June 18, 2015, at the age of 89. Carmine was born in Roccalumera, Sicily, coming to the US when he was 9 years old. He was a product of the Union City, NJ public schools, living his whole life on Fourth Street in Union City. Dr. Sippo received his EdD degree from New York University after graduating from Montclair State University. In addition to serving as an elementary and high school teacher, Dr. Sippo was a Science and Mathematics Education Professor at Fairleigh Dickinson University and Wagner College. He was Dean at the NY School of Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Sippo also founded the Worldwide Medical Education Institute which assisted students in pursuing medical, dental and veterinary studies in the United States and abroad. He was particularly proud of being responsible for the professional education and success of many health-field individuals. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy (nee Kruse) Sippo; his sons, Arthur C. Sippo, MD and William C. Sippo, MD; and his daughters, Carole (nee Sippo) Fagella and Dorothy A. Sippo, MD. He also leaves 8 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Family and friends will gather at Blackley Funeral Home, 809 Broad Ave., Ridgefield, NJ 201-945-5032 on Saturday from 8:30-10:00 AM. Interment to follow at Mount Hebron Cemetery, Upper Montclair, NJ.
