Brenda DePasquale, age 80, of Cape Coral, FL, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2025, while en route to New Jersey from Florida. She was surrounded by her loving daughter, Dina, as she made her final journey. Brenda's passing occurred at 35,000 feet in the air, where a fellow passenger, a pastor, kindly performed her last rites, offering her comfort in her final moments.
A proud Jersey girl at heart, Brenda lived in Florida for many years but was returning home to live with her daughter when she peacefully left this world. She had a zest for life, a warm spirit, and a love for family that will never be forgotten.
Brenda was predeceased by her beloved husband, Donald, and their son, Donald Jr. She is now reunited with them at Madonna Mausoleum in Fort Lee, where they will be together once more.
Brenda is survived by her devoted daughter; Dina, and son-in-law Mike, her granddaughter Gabby, and stepson Tony, along with his wife Jodi and granddaughter Jamie. She also leaves behind her nephew, Marc, whose love and affection she cherished dearly.
Brenda's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew her, especially her family, who will continue to honor her legacy of love, strength, and resilience.
Family and friends are warmly invited to celebrate the life of Brenda at Blackley Funeral Home, located at 809 Broad Avenue, Ridgefield, NJ 07657, on Tuesday, September 16, 2025. Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
The following morning, Wednesday, September 17, the family will gather at 9:30 AM at the funeral home before proceeding to St. Matthew’s Roman Catholic Church, Ridgefield, for the Funeral Mass. Entombment will follow at Madonna Mausoleum in Fort Lee.
