Beatrice Grace (nee Bono), of Ridgefield, NJ, formerly of NYC and Brooklyn, NY, entered into eternal rest on September 13, 2011 at the age of 99. Devoted wife of Vito Charles Scimeca of Ridgefield. Beloved mother of Joan Esposito and her husband Ed of Glen Rock, NJ. Cherished grandmother of Joseph Esposito and his wife Nora of Troy, NY, and Nicole Spencer and her husband Christopher of Hawthorne, NJ. Loving sister of Lillian Quartararo and the her husband the late Vincent, Vincent Bono and his wife Lucille, Catherine Mates and her husband Gregory, the late Frances Licata and her husband the late Michael, the late Joseph Bono, the late Nicholas Bono, and the late Mary Graves and her husband Roy. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Beatrice was a parishioner and Rosary Society member of St. Matthew's R.C. Church, a member of the Women's Auxiliary of the VFW, Ridgefield.. When her husband retired in 1975, they became active members of the Seniors of Ridgefield and the AARP. Beatrice enjoyed dance and exercise class as well went on many day trips and vacations with them. Visiting on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Blackley Funeral Home, 809 Broad Ave., Ridgefield (201-945-50320. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home on Thursday at 9:15 AM to attend the Funeral Mass on Thursday at 10:15 AM at St. Matthew's, Ridgefield. Interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery, Woodside, Queens, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the VFW of Ridgefield or the Friends of the Ridgefield Library.
