To know Arthur was to witness a profound determination. His battle with juvenile rheumatoid arthritis started when he was a young boy when treatments were few. The arthritis crippling effects disabled but did not define him. He fashioned adaptive devices long before those implements had the name "adaptive". Despite setbacks, he completed his BS degree at Seton Hall University and went to work with Prentice Hall in Englewood involved in the publication of Tax Guides for accountants. His career continued uninterrupted until his mid 70's.  Even after retiring from Thomson Reuters Corporation as a product manager for print publications, he remained on as a consultant.  Arthur was active in the NJ Chapter of the  Arthritis Foundation and was a member of the NJ board of Directors from 1979-1991.

Born in Hoboken on March 15, 1943 and raised in Fairview, NJ, Arthur was the beloved son of Hermilda Sabatini (nee Marana) and Arthur Sabatini, Sr. He is survived by his admiring and loving cousins and close friends.  His caregivers were devoted, remaining by his side for decades. Arthur loved playing with words and fashioning a clever retort. His eyes would sparkle when he shared a particularly good one with you.  Social, he enjoyed living in the Crane's Mill retirement community in West Caldwell, NJ and volunteered on several committees.  Always on the lookout for trends, he actively engaged in the stock market.  He was a strategic thinker.

Arthur inspired. He will be remembered for his bravery, positivity, love of chocolate, (good) Italian "gravy" and the Yankees.  A funeral mass at Our Lady of Grace church in Fairview, NJ  with interment at Madonna Mausoleum in Fort Lee, NJ will be scheduled for a later date.  The Arthritis Foundation and St Jude Children's hospital were the primary causes he supported, if you would like to contribute in his memory.
