Anthony J. Favorito

FAVORITO Anthony J. of Estero, Florida, entered into Eternal Life on October 8, 2010 at the age of 93. Devoted husband of M. Maria Favorito. Loving brother of Jennie Maugeri and the late Nancy Fiscella. Dear uncle of many nieces and nephews. A resident of Ridgefield, NJ for over 65 years, he owned and operated a Service Station at the corner of Shaler Blvd. and Broad Ave. He was also the builder of Co-op Supermarket, one of the first in the community, along with a dozen or more homes in Ridgefield, NJ. He served the US Army during WWII for five years and was part of the 3rd F.O.B. in General Patton's 3rd Army in the Invasion of France. He was a parishioner of St. Matthew's RC Church, Ridgefield, Knights of Columbus, V.F.W., and the Ridgefield Lions Club. He was a graduate of Leonia High School. Visiting will be on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Blackley Funeral Home, 809 Broad Ave., Ridgefield (201) 945-5032. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Thursday to attend a 10:15 AM Funeral Mass on Thursday at St. Matthew's RC Church, Ridgefield.
